Among my various fuzzy ambitions this year is to participate in the Year of Gnomes by Imagined Landscapes.

Gnoodles

These small to large creations each have a personality all their own and are such fun to knit up. The smaller versions use only small quantities of sock yarn. My version was knit using two colours of variegated yarn with long transitions. The hat was produced from one transition and as was the body and arms. These little guys are great ways to use up some of that leftover sock yarn.  What I did not have was a plain, beard-coloured yarn and had to quickly spin up some plain Blue Faced Leicester to fit the bill. As a result, the beard is a little more unruly than a commercial yarn might produce but completely fits this little guys moniker.
Happy Crafting!
