Just Back from Whistler Blackcomb

On top of the world.  We took our March break in Whistler, B.C. this year and it was hands down AWESOME.  Yes, I am yelling.  How can you not.  We were there and the snow was coming down non-stop.  By our last day of skiing, the snowfall for the previous 7 days was 182 cm.  Almost 6 feet of snow.  Can anyone say, "Powder!"  Can anyone ski powder?  Not nearly as well as I'd like.  But that made for an exciting, fun, laugh-filled, go to bed at 8:30 p.m. cause I'm toast vacation.
We stayed at Woodrun Lodge which is slope-side at Blackcomb mountain.  Being able to just pick up your skis and ride to the chair lift to start your day was fantastic.  What was even better, was sitting in the hot tub at lunch.

With the piles of snow I felt like one of those Japanese Hot spring monkeys.  It was sort of wild with the water being really hot and snow flakes falling on your head.  Great way to work out the stiff muscles though.

The village at Whistler was so pretty.  I kept thinking that it was Christmas.  With the lights and the snow covered trees, I kept thinking that the only thing missing was an old world Christmas market.
Of course we had to visit a little piece of Olympic history.  It was hard to get a good shot as each person really only had a second before the next group in line was all over the rings.

All in all a fantastic vacation.
